The Digital Marketing Coordinator position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent copy editing skills, and organization. You will work with our managers and our Digital Marketing team to coordinate the successful execution of various campaigns across all digital channels. You will be helping to market tours, recorded music, artist merch and other entertainment projects. Success in this position requires excellent time management, the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, a high level of comfort navigating all personality types and work-styles and most importantly a passion for music. This job is fueled by creativity, innovation, ambition, organization and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Job Functions:

  • Represent our talents on social media by copywriting, creating, and sharing content across all platforms to promote new music, touring, and support all other promotional needs. You should be a social media native with a strong understanding of how Meta, X, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms work. This role requires an extremely high level of attention to detail.
  • Help provide reporting / insights / analytics for clients and managers that track audience growth and measure results.
  • Help maintain the Summit Frontier website news and artist roster.
  • Compile reports and manage schedules for the digital team and managers
  • Submit support tickets to various digital platforms on behalf of clients and managers.
  • Be able to communicate and work closely with the rest of the digital team, artists, managers, labels, agents and promoters to help ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Help to maintain artist website news and tour date listings.
  • Schedule and announce tour dates as needed across platforms.
  • Draft email marketing newsletters
  • Make adjustments and reformat digital marketing assets using image editing software (Photoshop, etc.)
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technology
  • Work to support the digital strategy department by helping to compile reports, presentations and updates that keep our clients and managers informed.

 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of all major digital marketing channels for artists, social channels, features and a general understanding of the digital artist marketing ecosystem.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • A passion for learning new skills in real time. You should be comfortable using available online resources and tutorials to help hone your skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with other team members.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Passion for working in music across genres.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop or equivalent image editing software required – the more experience you have with visual content creation is a major plus!
  • Experience building decks and presentations using PowerPoint or Keynote
  • Comfortable using Excel and/or Airtable.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Experience:

  • Requires attention to detail and accuracy, along with the ability to stay self-motivated and deliver on tasks with little supervision.
  • Requires the ability to reason and foster decision-making skills while working through day-to-day work solutions
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to non-standard working hours due to the nature of the music industry.
  • Broad knowledge and passion for music and pop culture

 

Salary range for this role is $52.5-$65k per year, commensurate with experience. Standard benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401k employer matching.

Applicants should have an interest in learning more about the music industry through both hands-on experience, and experiencing a variety of virtual seminars featuring managers, employees and other music industry professionals. We will focus on management, tour marketing, publicity, digital promotion, graphic design, radio promo, and merchandising.

This internship is for current undergrad students only. Internships are offers in person in Charlottesville, VA, Nashville, TN, Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA or New York, NY / Remote (CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, LA, MA, MD, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WY)

Internships are paid an hourly rate based on location. Hours: approximately 10-15 per week during normal business hours.

If you need school credit, we’re happy to work with you, but it is not required.

Experience with Office / Google Docs is a must, and some and graphic design knowledge is a plus. Specifically, we are looking for dedicated, hardworking, high energy individuals, not afraid to take initiative.
